Introducing MyColdwater.com Cash Mobs!

We’ve started a new promotion with the help of some lovely friends of MyColdwater.com.  MyColdwater.com Cash Mobs!!  I am beyond excited about this!  This is a tangible way for all of us to show our support of locally owned small businesses

It’s a pretty simple, you show up at the specific locally owned business at a predetermined date and time, spend a minimum of $10-20 cash and have fun! Sort of like a flash mob but you are spending money and supporting a local business/business owner rather than singing and dancing.  Though, if you would like to sing and dance while you shop, feel free!

We’ve set up a Facebook Group for the events so we can keep the locations secret from the business owners.  Show your support of local businesses and come out for a fun shopping experience.  While you are downtown, visit the other businesses, have lunch and HAVE FUN!!!

A Visit to Wilbur’s Furniture

I love Wilbur’s Furniture!  It brings back memories of shopping with my mom and my grandma when I was a little girl.  The old fashioned elevator  still carries you from one floor to the next.  Furniture and decorations arranged in artful displays that really help you picture what it will look like in your house.  I was especially drawn to the Amish made furniture (made in the USA).  The quality was outstanding and I could see my family gathered around the dining table giving thanks and sharing a meal or playing games.  The bedroom suite had smooth opening drawers that opened all the way.  I walked out of the store with a long list of “I Wants”.  Kevin just shook his head and smiled…that means he’s going to buy it all, right?  :)

A Visit to North Woods Coffee Company

North Woods Coffee Company is another great place to find the right gift for the ones on your Christmas list.  With everything from baby gifts and jewelry to candles and well pretty much everything in between you could spend hours just looking at all the great things here.  While you are shopping you can sip a delicious cup of coffee or a latte and if you are hungry, they even have a great menu with sandwiches, soups and salads.  There are great couches to sink into when you need to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping.   North Woods also has a great group of employees that greet you with a smile and a kind word.
